Thirteen students from Sheboygan County Christian High School have decided to spend their Discovery Term serving in Atlanta, GA. The team, led by Chris and Kim Hendrikse, will be working with a ministry known as 7 Bridges to Recovery / A Rescue Team For Jesus. In addition to spending time with the women and children that live onsite, the team will be packing several hundred lunches and heading out onto the city streets to deliver food and the gospel to those in need.

Day 3 - Church at The Garden and Lunch at the Windsors'

Today's church service was great and very different from any church I have visited. The music was outstanding and the sermons were very well done and were easily understood. The people were so accepting of others and did not judge anyone at all. Little kids were screaming and Pastor Seven (founding pastor of 7 Bridges) would just stop in the middle of the sermon and thank God for all the kids. After church we went over to the Windsors for lunch.  The Windsors moved from Kohler down to Atlanta a couple of years ago.  They were great. Their hospitality was so welcoming and all their kids were very energetic. We had great burgers and amazing barbecued chicken. I cannot wait for tomorrow because our group is going on the Bluff Route to minister to people on the streets.

A huge thank you to the Windsors for opening up their home to our team.  Great food and even better company:)

Hanging out with the kids before bedtime:)

Getting comfortable as we prepare for our devotional and reflection time together.
